maybe spend $500 in a period of 3 month?,, that way you wont look like you are trying too hard.
each month, get something reasonable and see how many month the 500$ will take you.
if you take her out on dates, i am pretty sure $500 is plenty to last you several dates depend on your spending.

I always considered camping as a "group" bonding adventure and barely a one on one relationship building block. Sleeping under the stars together sounds romantic only if they both don’t mind personal hygiene. For those whom are already dating, I guess it may be a plus to show your inner “ caveman” abilities to hunt, start fire, being protective and territorial.
