I watched it.. it was pretty good, nothing spectacular, but still worth a watch. The 3D version is good. They don't over do it, but it adds a nice touch.

Is this a dreamworks??

I just saw this the other day.....and i dunno. Whenever i compare all these dreamworks movies to pixar movies....it feels like it lacks something, can't really put my finger on it....like i walk out of the movie, and forget it the next day. As opposed to a Pixar movie...i dunno, i get this good feeling whenever i leave the theatre after watching pixar movies.

Its almost like all the Dreamworks movies are just long cartoons, where Pixar movies are actually movies.

great point raybot. Pixar puts a lot more on the storyline. I mean, i really hate watching cartoons cause i always think that it's gay, but these few years, many of the storylines were just totally awesome and well worth the watch. This yr, Wall-E did it for me.

Finding Nemo - the journey was great, and the story was great with Ellen's voice in it.
INcredibles - the action and the jokes were amazing
Toy Storys - the moral of the story was great for 1 and 2.
Cars - owen's voice and it's had a geat message.
Ratatouille - i'm a great chef so i realy ilked this one.
Monsters Inc - first time i saw this and i thought the concept was great.. jokes were amazing.

Shrek - 1 was funny, 2 was evern better, 3 just lost it. there aren't any more 'advancement from cartoon / graphics point of view.
Kung Fu Panda - the moral of the story was just crap.
Madagascar - i liked the voice overs but that was it.

I loved the first shrek...and then it was downhill from there.
The first Ice Age was cool...but not memorable. And second one was horrendous.
As for Madagascar, i hated the first one, so, had no admire to see the second one.

As for the pixar movies....every single one i have watched gave me a desire to buy the movie on dvd.

Still haven't watched Cars or Bolt yet.

Ive seen this in 3D. It wasn't very in your face at all, which was disappointing. There was only like 2 or 3 scenes that kind of felt like they stood out from the screen, but then again I was sitting at the very back of the theatre.

The story was the worst, even for an animated movie. I'm just going to say the entire story felt like the pre-plot or pre-climax (forgot the proper name for this). I sat through the entire movie feeling this build up of the story, only to be let down and find out its the end of the movie! I could hear some audience around me going "wtf.. thats it?"

Anyways, save your $, see something else

I agree with BNR32_Coupe. I expected more 3D animation. I guess it's not the same as going to watch a 3D movie at the IMAX Theatre! The story is not developed properly. It's weird how Ginormica/Susan forms a friendship with the Monsters so quickly. The plot does not live up to its title. I expected more aliens and more monsters. The characters are a bit strange. Insectosaurus doesn't really do anything nor does it have a personality. The joke with the President of the U.S. hitting the wrong button is overplayed.
