i do reconmend watching the original if you get a chance.

loved how a lot of the vehicles were all based on the originals.... JUST IN HD! hahaha.

story line was meh, but i actually liked the movie for the fact it continued on from the original tron, not just another remake.

Either I was too baked or not baked enough, but the movie was really not that great.

The story was cheesy as hell and boring and all the action scenes were basically in the trailer. I can't imagine watching this sober unless you watched every other movie in the theater.

I was disappointed, I was really looking forward to enjoying this movie. Perhaps my expectations were unrealistic.

Music 10/10, graphics 7/10, script 0/10, story 0/10, lasting impression = awesome music but a joke of a story and script.

Overall 5/10.

For all the harsh critics: it's meant to entertain. It was never in the running for an Oscar. And entertain it did. Would buy on Blu Ray.

That aside, I was hugely entertained. I went in with zero expectations and found that I had enjoyed the movie. No, it's not an Oscar contender but that's okay. The music was wicked. Saw it in Imax3D.

Oh, speaking of 3D... WTF was with the "filmed in 2D" warning right at the beginning? At least they warned us ahead of time that it'll be shitty 3D.

it seemed like they paid the CG artists so much money, they barely had a budget for the writer. this movie is meant for visual entertainment only

because it's so unique, i'd buy this once it comes out on bluray

My beef with this reasoning is that even though the CG for the first half of the film was really cool, there was virtually none in the second half. It was so boring I wanted to walk out but I kept thinking, there's got to be an awesome climatic ending (some huge fight or whatnot) but nothing ever happens.

I am actually feeling giddy that this film is on it's way to becoming (possibly) the biggest flop of the year.

I watched it in IMAX 3D today, and thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

It was just okay. You'd have to see it in IMAX to achieve the full 3-D effect. I went to Silvercity and the 3-D was just unnecessary.

I absolutely loved the movie. No, not for it's plot but for the visuals and sounds. This is by far the best 3D movie I've seen and I hate 3D! The 3D really worked for me since most of the scene consisted of Deep depth of field (which is super important in making a 3D film). It wasn't a blockbuster hit that was made in to 3D after but a purposely made film to showcase what 3D can really be. For those who complain about the first few minutes being in 2D. The way I see it is, maybe the director wanted to keep it that way for "the real world" then 3D for the futuristic world.

Those/fans who look for a beautifully scripted story would not be please.

i finally watched it, albeit not in 3d imax format. i was more into the special effects and music and sort of forgot there was supposed to be some sort of plot lol... i did like watching it very much, but like someone just said above, don't expect 'oscar for best screenplay' material here.

i guess my attitude going in was different than some others, because i am old enough to remember watching the original tron movie when it first came out in the theatres as a kid. i was geeking out at all the stuff they kept or referred to from the original movie... eg. the arcade is almost a dead ringer from the original movie, and that huge security door he breaks into at the beginning... my friend who did not watch the original, was totally clueless about the dillinger reference. oh well.

now i've got to find a decent torrent online and watch it a few more time to see if there was any sort of plot until the bluray comes out.

i actually didnt mind the plot......i dont know what people are complaining about...

i loved everything about this movie....of course, yes, it is no oscar winner....but the plot of the story kept me interested...i never got bored...and when parts slowed down, they always had Olivia Wilde in them...so then i didnt notice slow parts cause i was too busy drooling all over myself.

This movie and Avatar are the only movies that I can say TO DATE, utilize 3d properly.

I pray to god disney pumps out another one of these movies, and hope most the cast returns...and id be happy with a quality plot as in this one, or more of a plot...no bother to me...

I payed to get entertained...and i left a very satisfied consumer....twice(IMAX 3D and RealD 3D)
