Best Thai restaurant in Vancouver? Which are the best, most authentic places? :D |
I used to like O Thai on Broadway since they had a great atmosphere with resonable prices and great food. Recently they revamped their menu and it's half the size with lots of fusion dishes and no longer has that traditional touch. Reposting from other thread: a solid Thai restaurant in Yaletown is Simply Thai. It's a small restaurant, but has great service and more upscale white tablecloth atmosphere. The food is fantastic and more of a traditional Thai menu with many choices. Cho Muang: steamed flower dumplings stuffed with minced chicken, onion, and spices. http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m...i/IMG_1511.jpg Gaeng Ped Bped Yang: BBQ duck in red curry with coconut milk, banboo shoots, peppers, tomato, pineapple. http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m...i/IMG_1515.jpg Some sort of fish and green beans in bean paste sauce. http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m...i/IMG_1516.jpg Pad Thai http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m...i/IMG_1519.jpg |
Sala Thai on Burrard street! never been disappointed. |
Baan Wasana on W. 41st Ave in Kerrisdale has an awesome authentic pad thai |
yummm at the pad Thai |
I like sala thai - cambie location. |
+1 for Sala Thai, I've had better food experiences at the Burrard one than the Cambie one, but I like the seating on Cambie better. I really like Wimaan on Broadway right between Spruce and Oak. |

haha.. i was about to recommend it too.. been there twice two years ago, and I was not dissapointed. However, I'm not sure about now since I haven't been there for a long time. and get the rice in the pineapple shell. It's delicious. |
When my bf and I have a sudden craving for Thai food at 2 in the morning, we always hit 24/7 Thai on Broadway (at Oak). Their pad thai and basil fried rice are not bad. |
Urban Thai Bistro in Yaletown gets my vote. The twist that they put on their curries takes them to another level!!! |
i like simply thai... i think urban thai is gross. |

Thai Cafe on Hastings in Burnaby.. good stuff! Also, Lhy Thai on Edmonds... |
I'm not really into Thai, but there is a place near my work that I enjoy. Thai Basil on the corner of Davie and Thurlow. It's diagonally across from the Starbucks and across the street from Denny's. It's a really small place, one of those hole in the wall kinda joints. |

"Think Vij’s but Thai with Rangoli prices" Andrew Morrison the food just sounds awesome! |
My Thai in Langley. I'm not a Thai food fan, but I know plenty of people that love it. The owner is some ex-chef of nobility over there. I've no idea what it is, but it sounds impressive. :lol |
