Attn: SLK enthusiasts

My girlfriend is looking into buying a 05-09 SLK. I was just wondering if someone can tell me the difference between slk 280, slk 300, and slk 350

I ask because the price of the 280 and 350 are similar but the 300 is much cheaper

any feedback or suggestions are appreciated.

Difference in horsepower, brakes and rims/wheels.

So in saying that, the engine has 40 more HP so it suggests a different engine, it has bigger brakes (disks are different) and larger wheels.

Oh and the number on the back

can you not go on the Mercedes site and compare the specs? or just Google them? hell chances are Wikipedia has a chart with comparing the differences.

Now now, don't be lazy. Do the research and go on an SLK Enthusiast website. They probably have all the things you're looking for.

SLK 350 is the way to go. They didn't offer an AMG version for the first year of the 350 but they did for later years and the AMG package is the only way to go. The top is the best drop top I've ever used its so fast. I had one for awhile they are awesome little cars but not great if your a big person.

Berz out.

^ you kidding me? the R171 has much more interior room than the R170, I have no
problem in mine, except I always need to find a big parking spot, so I can take my feet
out the car freely. It is common in any 2dr coupe.

210hp to 268 hp, your gf won't find much different. IMO, it's a poser car, just get
whichever has the nice body kit or rims. Mercedes parts are expensive as hell.

I'm 6'3 and getting in and out was a pain in the cock. Also the seat position was hard on my back due to long legs and the position I had t have the seat in.

How does the interior hold up? I'm always worried about rattles in convertibles? Is the SLK metal roof solid?
