Prohibit from driving for 3 months

Ok so I have acquired 2 tickets in the past half year, and just today I recieved a letter stating that I am prohibit from driving for a term of 3 months, but then as i read on, it says I have 2 options,
option 1: saying that i acknowledge and accept driving prohibition, but at the end of the line it states that: "as your driver's licence is also cancelled, you must attend a Driver Services Centre to reapply for a driver's licence when the prohibition is over."

First of all, is the option thing a template that they used for everyone? Since in the beginning of the letter it only states that they are going to prohibit me from driving but on the option it states that my licence is cancelled ?

On another note: Am i required to retake the N test when my 3 months prohibition is over?

Thanks a lot!

option 2 would have been appeal via letter.

yes the licence is gone, you need to surrender it. (either by mail or take it in, don't know). after 3 months you need to go buy another one, and your N starts again = no class 5 for another 2 years. no 2nd N test.

They have prohibited you and the prohibition period starts when you contact them as stated in your letter. Your DL is also cancelled and you no longer have a valid one until the prohibition period is over...then you have to reapply as they tell you.

It is possible to be unlicenced and NOT prohibited....you may not ever have had a DL, it could have expired & not been renewed...or it is not renewed after being prohibited. Get caught driving while prohib and you could be looking at jail time...get caught driving after your prohib period is over and you get a ticket for no DL.
