2010 Nismo 370-Z

Here's the 2010 Nissan Motor Sports International (Nismo) version of the 370z.
To clear up confusion since some people may not know, Nismo isn't another Japanese tuning house, they're Nissan's in house sports/tuning department, so you can buy a Nismo 370 right of your Nissan dealership floor. I personally think that the 370z should have came stock like this to begin with.

suspension components are also different, under body air diffusers, and some engine differences as well.
Am I the only one who thinks the 370Z has lots of modding potential both in performance and looks ? I know it's rough around the edges from the factory floor, but take a look at this widebody concept and tell me you wouldn't sell your left nut to have it.

^ as for the sketch above, it wouldn't be the first time a photoshop began as a photoshop and ended up a full blown work of art. Check out this custom videbody FX

I just dont like the fact that the original front fascia looks like a fish, and was based off sharks.

Quote:
"I took a lot from the Discovery Channel, watching Shark Week. I like the 350Z, but I wanted it to be more aggressive and dynamic, and I thought the shark was a good metaphor."
-Randy Rodriguez, 370Z designer
http://www.gtchannel.com/showcontent.php?tag_id=864

I prefer a car that's based on a compelling, unambiguously unique automotive based design. Not a designers impression of what a fish-car could look like. This is i think the nismo 370z design is a step in the right direction

Too bad nismo never really sends us this kind of components unless you give them an arm and leg. The aero parts definately make it look better.

I am not doubting Nissan's engineering, by all accounts this car probably performs superbly, but I think Nissan has really ugly cars.

that's pretty hot
imo i don't really dig the "retro modern" look but i think this z combines some cues from the 240 that really make it look good

everyone says those headlights suck but no one imagined how it'd look without that sharky eye....

so I took 15 min out of my life and tried this:

I think it makes the front end look a lot "heavier" than with the shark eyes. But then it pays homage to the good ol' 240Z....

But then physically those lights will be right above and inside of the front wheel, so you can't steer

maybe that's why they don't do these....

if they had a bit more going in the headlight area of your photoshop pic, like maybe turn signals in the empty blue space or something, that would look really sick!!

I just thought I'd stick to the original 240 look where the lights sit way back and the bullet headlight gets a cover (occasionally) so the motif was this:

no pretensions, dumbed down on purpose look....The car should look like a silly kid when sat still and it should rip your pants off when it's running hahahaha. That's the Japanese way.

^ you already got a veilside widebody 350 yo! lol

I'd love to buy a 370 go down to Cali and get the same guys who did that custom FX I posted up there to make me a custom widebody exactly like the one in the pic. But that means I'd have to get rid of the G, but I'm too attached to it.
