What the hell was i thinking doing the Grind yesterday???

Wanted to break my own time by hitting 49, and ended up finishing two bottles of liquids before the 3/4 mark, and finishing at 59m. I've never taken so many breaks going up there.

How is the Grind on Wednesday nights? Grouse touts it as their 'social night' and I've been interested in checking it out sometime.

yea i think the cooler weather helped a lot, especially when i was nearing the end. but overall i just kept my pace and didn't push myself to hard in the beginning, which made it possible for me to go all the way up without stopping for more than 5 secs for water. Going to try and get 50 minutes this Sunday!!

Who cares....as long as you get it done!

I took my buddy yesterday cuz he wants to get back into shape. Hes fat, has asthma and hasnt been motivated for months (till he met a girl that IS in shape). I walked up with him just to hang out and go casually rather than racing up like i usually do.

We took 2h15 to get it done....and he wants to try it again in 2 weeks. Good on him....Most friends that say are gonna come up with me ditch me at the last moment...and its usually for something really counter-productive like dim-sum.

As i said...who cares...bring it...get it done.

its mind over matter... i tell people who want to try it to just not think about how long it is... just keep going... doesnt matter how long it takes as long as you finish it you will feel like you have acomplished something you never thought was possible.
