Good burger recipes? Anyone got any killer burger recipes for making patties from scratch? Was watching the food network last night and now I'm fiending for some crazy good burgers LOL |
add some premium crackers instead of bread crumbs....cut up a cheese string stick into cubes and put a small cube into each pattie....;) other ingred. are secrets of the trade. hahahha or if you're brave, use bacon meat instead of beef....hahahaha |
usually if you put a bad of butter in the burger.. its melts through the burger while being grilled... I usually mix the butter with parsley, garlic, maybe even some cheese... mix together.. pour it out on top of plastic wrap.. and form a log.. put it in the freezer so you can cut it out .. |
I think I'm gonna try what I saw on tv yesterday, a guy had a big chunk of cheese in the middle of the patty, a hidden suprise |
never ever ever ever pat down on ur burger while grilling. this will cause all the juices to drain out from ur burger. whcih makes totaly sense when i was watching the food channel. |
yeah patting down a burger is stupid. Dunno what the rationale is for doing it in the first place. |
I make mine with chopped onions, chopped mushrooms, black pepper, worshtishire sauce and crushed garlic |
- A pound of meat. My favourite is Sirloin, or a 1/2 sirloing 1/2 chuck mix - 1/2 an onion, minced - 3-4 cloves garlic minced - Fresh cracked pepper - No such thing as too much pepper - Salt - Chili Powder - Little bit of Ground Cumin - Dried oregano Simple tastes best, and in my opinion bread crumbs or egg should NOT go into burgers. I find eggs toughen up the burgers. |
Last night I did the following Crushed triscuits Chopped onion Chopped jalepenos BBQ sauce Worsishire sauce Salt Pepper Garlic Then I made 2 thin patties put cheese in the middle and formed them around it The jalepenos give the burgers an awsome kick |
I just made a simple recipe using.... 1 lb regular ground beef 1/2 onion, chopped about 2tbsp Worcestershire 2-3tbsp Teriyaki marinade pinch of salt like 10 Premium Plus crackers crushed 2 slices processed cheese Basically, bring everything together, and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Form 4 balls of about even size and make patties with cheese in between them. Then, on the stove, 5 minutes per side in a saute pan at medium-high heat. Take it out of the pan, and toss it in the oven covered in tinfoil on a sheet for 10 minutes at 250 degrees. For me I kinda burned it since it was my first time putting together that recipe, and I found it not cooking internally but it's pretty good. Anyone got advice on preventing bad burning cooking burgers on the stove? |
Equal parts lean ground beef and ground veal Finely chopped shallots Finely chopped onions Minced garlic Worcestershire sauce Garlic powder Celery salt Butter Fresh ground black pepper Grainy and/or dijon mustard Mayonnaise I'm thinking of working in pork belly for the next bbq :) |

can u go to like safeway and buy a good prime rib roast or somthing and get them to grind it up? |
Should be able to, it's probably like asking to have beef cut into smaller pieces. |
Mix in Teriyaki sauce, granny smith apple chunks, garlic, sweet onion, ground pork and then on the bun top it off with a sliced pineapple. so good.. |
