does soy products inhibit testosterone production?

i read that soy products aren't good for men because soy has phytoestrogen and it inhibits testosterone production. is this true? can the research be trusted?

any opinions on this?

Yes, and soy products are basically made from garbage. The only good soy is made from unrefined beans (edamame, natto) stay far, far away from everything else soy based.

no significant decrease in testosterone/sperm quality with consumption of soy / phytoestrogen supplements in humans... there have been studies that shows that it has a significant effect in rats though.. but if you eat too much soy or take too much phytoestrogen supplements high probability of it having an adverse effect on your hormone levels

It's just not a good idea for anyone (especially men) to bother eating soy products. Especially if it's replacing good, healthy food like milk and meat.

Yeah that's generally what phytoestrogens do. In any case, it's not a good thing. Soy is basically garbage that has been turned into food.

Is that why there are more female vegetarians than male?

(Not sure if that's a fact)

Most of the soy in US (and maybe other countries now) are genetically modified....which is already bad enough..
But the way they extract soy ingredients from the plant to make soy products is even worse...they use a by-product of gasoline.. So you are injesting toxic chemicals as well as polluting the environment when eating soy

Why eat soy when you can have real food?

Funny I googled soy and one of the hits was "Soy makes you gay"

But seriously....males, for a few years after they turn 3, should have an increased testosterone level similar to when they go through puberty during their late teens.....but when you have a soy-based baby formula, the estrogen properties inhibit that testosterone spike....
if lacking that testosteron during the period of time, the male may grow up to be confused with his sexual orientation...

the phytoestrogens aren't exactly the same as the estrogens in your body... if that were the case, all the girls drinking lots of soy milk would have huge boobs since estrogen mediates breast growth... but as you can see in the asian population, that isn't the case

Yes, eating soy is a good way to naturally increase your estrogen levels. this isnt a myth.

despite what science may tell you, higher estrogen levels can actually be beneficial. it gives you some titties to feel up when you're masturbating, assuming your testosterone levels are high enough to maintain a hard-on.
