School me on 3M ClearBra, and what shops in town install it

Hey Guys,

I'm planning a road trip to Hudson's Hope in July. My buddy works at the W.A.C. Bennett dam and is going to give me a full access tour of the place.

It's a good 2400km drive round trip, and I was thinking it might be a good idea to do something to help protect my car's paint.

So I heard about the 3M Clear Bra, and I've been reading up a bit on it.

Does anyone have any experience with it?
What's your opinion on it?
Is it as easy to remove in the future as they say it is?
What's the typical cost for it?
Who in town installs it?

Thanks!

Duplicolor makes a spray on bra that washes off.

I've heard of something like that that is a a thick heavy duty clearcoat for front bumpers and rocker panels. Like a 2-3mm coating of polyurethanes that are clear or something.

I'm unsure if anyone in town does that.. if you find out let me know, I'd be interested for the front of my cars. Stupid rocks chipping away at them :O

I'm pretty sure SHC Autographx's still do this stuff. I had them put some on the front of my old Miata and it worked pretty well. Best advice if you have to drive gravel roads is slow down if you're meeting a car, it's your speed that does the damage.

call Kari's Auto Accessories... They can put it on of you, we use them at work. Its also called clear chip guard decal. Most vehicles come with it on rear door edges and rockers from factory.

Craftsman collision also installs it.
