needs help, which car goes 0-100km/h(0-60mph) for cheap?

I am being childish today, but it's fun sometimes to get into debates like this.

I had a discussion in another forum where a guy owns a 07 V6 Camry argues his 0-100km/h is under 6 seconds and therefore is better/sportier than RX8 because it does like 0.5 second slower.

So basically he is saying his Camry V6 > RX8 in every way.

Anyone know a fast stock 0-100 under 6s but shittier/cheaper than V6 Camry?

thanks for your help.

tell him that you gramma can drive 0-60.

but when the first corner comes, tell him to jump out of the moving camry. he'll be safer that way.

go buy a used wrx and chip it, bound to go fast for all weather
but yeah Like Lomac said, older american V8s go fast for cheap (good bet)

but wtf, 0-60 acceleration doesn't mean a car is sporty, challenge him to slalom wif you in that FWD 3500 lb boat!

Here is what he said....

Quote:
If you read the numbers the Camry SE acceleration/skidpad/roadholding/braking numbers are comparable to a WRX dispite its fuel, weight, tire, and drivetrain disadvantage. Say what you want, the Camry SE is a capable car whether you realize it or not.
Quote:
Ok ok... What other numbers would you like to compare?? I used all the numbers a sports car should be measured by... acceleration, braking, skidpad/roadholding... Did you want to compare gas mileage, fuel type, front/rear legroom, trunk space, reliability, parts/labor costs, insurance, quietness, comfort, resale value... You start to see what a balanced car really means.

Anyways another thing I should point out is I'm not trying to convince all you guys to go out and buy a Camry SE V6, I actually want to be the only car enthusiast driving one. As odd as it might sound, I like that I found such a sporty car where no one else would look. Yes I'm calling it sporty, eat my shorts.

No doubt that the camry V6 is powerful throughout the power band, I personally like to drive it alot. But it just suck that it's a 4 door family sedan, not quite Lexus-like, yet better than a Corolla. i don't mind driving one when i'm 50 years old, but at that age, I should've reached my mid-life crisis and drive a Porsche. So, add 2 more decade to the math, and I'll be buying one when i'm 70. By then, I'll eat WRX with the camry V6.

Seriously, Camry V6 > lots of cars... WRX? MB C230? BMW 320i? Volvo S40? Impala? .... so what's the point?

0-100kmph in 5.2seconds if you launch it hard. it has attessa training wheels, basically, you can hold down the gas pedal and the more you turn, the more it slows down, so you won't spin out into a ditch. trust me, im a nissan guru, i got years of technical experience and training, i learned stick from a pro and im an ex-drifter champion, i know who i am

Seriously he thinks his Camry V6 Se is sportier than a WRX?
-automatic
-Soft suspension
-seats that don't hold you as well
-FWD<AWD any day
-NO TURBO!!!

the weight difference isn't even that big only about 200-300 lbs, so put 1 or 2 guys in the back of the WRX and race him?

u know what i realize, his so called "3000GT" is just a "dodge stealth" (NA version of 3000GT sold as a dodge)
he only did a bumper conversion, notice how in his pics, its all front end shots?
and take a look at the rear wing, a real 3000GT has a wing as wide as the body fenders, where as his is hidden behind the rear windows. and i dont think real 3000GTs r available to be imported yet.
go google pics of 3000GT and comapre it to the dodge stealth and u'll see what i'm talking about the wing.

so i guess u can call him out on that.

and this is his cardomin page
