this looks pretty interesting. from just the trailer, it doesn't appear to your typical alien invasion & vice versa type movie.

You know what the big screen needs? A new GOOD werewolf movie. Haven't seen a good werewolf movie since the 80s.

That and a new Fighter Pilot movie. There's been no good one since Top Gun.

The Iron Eagle series sucked ass. And so did Stealth. Flyboys was alright.

Last good one i remember was Silver Bullet and the Howling...as i said...good 80s thrillers; awesome for its time. But since then, there was this really stupid one with Christina Ricci, Van Helsing,...and the last one before that i recall was Wolf with Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfeiffer.

If you're looking for a new hockey movie, word is they are making a movie that will tally alongside Disney's inspring stroy of Team USA's juniour championship, "Miracle." Apparently, its the Team Canada version of the whole thing. Its title is going to be called "Obvious."

this movie just looks like a shitty analogy of apartheid, but instead of black people we have aliens.

and to make it even more obvious, its set in south africa

What's wrong with South Africa? I think its a rather cool place to shoot a film.. its one of the wealthiest (and simultaneously poorest) places in the world and the natural beauty is breathtaking. Its also cool because its different as in its not like every other movie thats shot in NY or LA.

south africa institued racial segregation (apartheid) from 1948 and 1994

theirfore, the act of segregating humans from aliens is pretty much an analogy of what they did to the blacks and non whites

Here is why the movie works set in an apartheid environment.

This is the precursor to the movie

BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR. BEST THING I'VE SEEN SINCE THE DARK KNIGHT.

Hurt Locker can be considered up there too.

It's been awhile where I've seen a movie with a really engaging character, wher you actually feel and care for him.

Saw this last night...huge ass line up, sold out shows in Metro town and Coquitlam theaters...

AWESOME MOVIE!!!! Has it's funny moments. The main character is actually likable and well played even tho he does some really despicable things lol. To top it off it's one of his first roles on screen. His accent can be annoying at times. Has a slight Cloverfield start to the movie (yea might not be a good thing). CGI is top notch for a 30mil budget 9/10 !!

Other than the shaky cloverfield-like shots in the first 15-20 mins that made me want to barf, this was an awsome movie! very original story, i loved it, not gonna go in detail, just go watch it

just came back from watching it. 9:50 show was sold out even when I showed up an hour and a half before. Had to wait for the 10:45 show but it was worth the wait for me, since I've been let down by all the other supposedly big summer blockbusters.

Finally a good summer movie.
