Bakudanyaki: Vancouver's Original Japanese Yatai I always drive by this big black trailer that's parked in a big empty parking lot in Richmond (Gilbert and Elmbridge across from RONA). Kind of like a big hotdog stand. I was cruising by and finally decided to give it a try. I was expecting something like a Japadog or something. They don't actually sell hot dogs but sell big huge Tako Yako balls with the option of different sauces. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. There's quite a bit of stuff inside these. Quail egg, squid, shrimp, octopus and some other stuff. I tried the original one and definately would recommend it. They don't sell anything else other than some drinks and these balls. If you're not a huge eater then this would be a good light lunch or an awesome snack. Here's their site http://www.bakudanyaki.com/ |
