Tiesto @ Pacific Coliseum (Nov 14)

he is confirmed to be touring through western canada at that time so i would say this is pretty legitimate. at least this is the word right now...

can't wait!!!

Seen Tiesto three times, not once did I feel like he really wanted to be there. The guy reminds me more of a rock star now than a DJ. Compared to other superstars like AvB and Ferry I just get such negative vibes from Tiesto.

...but if it's part of an actual rave I'll be there. His new single rocks.

AVB is totally like tiesto now. So bummed about him. But i guess that's what the price u pay for being no.1. Everyone/every country wants him, so no time to produce killer tracks. Armin did a great job bringing trance closer globally especially North America. Without his ASOT shows, alot of the dj's out there wouldn't be noticed. He's definately an awesome promoter that's for sure. But now he's a lil too predictable with his sets. U can say he's the dj that delivers the "TOP 40 of Trance".

Best high energy dj's by far are Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Sander Van Doorn, Gareth Emery, Richard Durand, ATB (he's coked up all the time but i love it!). They are always smiling! U can see them how much they're loving it! And they are all super chill to talk to minus ATB lol!

next big party! UNION YACHT PARTAAAY!!!

I agree with most of your analysis, except in the three times I've seen Armin he's always TOTALLY into it... smiling, interacting with the crowd, etc... just like Ferry does.

I neeeeed to see Above & Beyond next time they're in town... heard so many good things.

** Keep in mind, this event is a "CONCERT" style event. The event will be similar to the Tiesto in Concert back 2 years ago in GM place, however, this event will go to 2am (instead of 12am). Pricing will be based on which seating section you purchase.

i heard that they will serve booze but its still an all ages event. i guess they might set up specific areas to drink like how seattle does it with 18+ clubs/parties.

we'll just have to wait for the official announcement regarding liquor.

Hoping for a 19+ alcohol area as well. Although I remember at USC that area wasnt in the dance area. So you can't really stay there, drink, dance and watch the DJ at the same time.

God I hope they don't have a beer garden. Could you imagine the amount of dumbfucks that will show up high as a kite on E/Coke/K/whatever else they can find, and then think they're okay to drink on top of that? I'd hate to be First Aid that night.

Yeah it was horrible. A lot of pushing and shoving in the lineup. We just ordered a bunch of drinks @ one time to avoid the line again lol.
