Looks fantastic. I've been wanting to try the DB burger ever since it was introduced, however finding someone to go with me has been the problem.

Why? How hard could it be to get someone to go eat something delicious?

Meowjin 07-26-2009 05:22 PM

Not a lot of people are willing to pay $25-$30 for a burger.

Bender Unit 07-27-2009 10:38 AM

$60/person for your lunch :awesom: Damn~ Awesome Pictures

2damaxmr2 07-27-2009 12:34 PM

lol i wouldn't pay 10bucks for that burger.

ilvtofu 07-27-2009 01:20 PM

DAMN, thats expensive but looks pretty premium, and i'm sure it's better than moderne burger down the street, expensive and regular...

rouentahl 07-27-2009 07:39 PM

That lobster salad looks really good!

Yes, I arrived at approximately 1:20 or so although my friends had been there around 1:00. It was still dead by the time we left at almost 4. Two tables had cycled inside and about three or four on the patio.

stick to your upscale burger shops. i'll go to a steak house when i want a real cut of beef.

you're paying for half a steak to be run through a grinder while it's slathered with misc expensive toppings.

that's exactly how i don't like a fine cut of meat.

edit: i'd go sometime to try a burger, but at $15 for a normal burger, now you're just getting a pre-chewed piece of meat without the fancy toppings. YAWN

tiger_handheld 07-28-2009 08:08 AM

should go there for dinner, and try their 'beef au bouf' (not sure if i typed that correctly) that is friken A+. also, try their 'sampler' appy's. GO! TRY IT NOW!! NOW!!

looks wonderful, but a $60 lunch is WAY WAY more than I can afford

Ducky 08-18-2009 04:17 PM

No offence Ronin, I read your blog/posts and defiantly agree with your taste until now.
I took a friend a few month back for a DB Burger (birthday meal) and we were both extremely disappointed. We found the burger filling and juicy but lacked complete flavor the best part of the meal was dipping our burger in the poutine gravy. We left wishing we had hit up BK and had angry burgers and saved +$60.

unit 08-18-2009 05:06 PM

it looks pretty tasty. however i'll echo what some ppl here have said.
$60 per person for lunch is hugely overpriced.
you can eat a 3 course lunch at the london in nyc for $25

Ronin 08-18-2009 05:12 PM

That's only because we each got an appetizer, main, dessert and a couple of beers.

No, I've been to the London in NYC and I believe their lunch menu starts at $35 and is sort of a light, small plates lunch.

Ducky, you must've gone on a bad day because the burger patty itself was delicious. Maybe the chef missed the seasoning? Each is made to order so I wouldn't be super surprised if they forgot something.
