Best Places to Eat in Victoria?

Maybe planning a day trip over to the Island, any restaurants to recommend?
Any cuisine is fine, just throw in here!

There is the only sushi place I eat at in Victoria.

It is called Shizen Sushi.

Dinehere shows "Ferris's Oyster Bar" to be the most popular on the Island, any opinions?

Victoria has a lot quantity, but nothing that really jumps out as the must-go place.

Ferris's was once one of our favorites... until the greasy middle aged host started letting young, attractive blondes queue hop and there was sand in my oysters. Haven't been back since and I do love me some oysters.

Pagliachi's is great for lunch (bottomless daily soup specials and the best bread I've ever had for $6)

Bard and Banker serves pretty good "trendy" pub food and is absolutely gorgeous.

Barb's fish n chips is of course a Victoria institution.

We generally do Sushi at Fujiya, a small Japanese grocery/convenience store. Quality is about the same as you'd see in a convenience store in Tokyo which is generally better than most of the Sushi restaurants in Victoria and it's really cheap.

I like 5th street bar & grill.

Nothing beats wood fire cooked food. I like the wood fire rotisserie chicken.

The quality is good and the prices are good, the menu is divided by price: $5, $10, $15, $20.

Oh sweet these are some good suggestions!

When we lived in the area, we'd eat at Fifth Street at least once a week but haven't been there in ages... If you like interesting beer, Spinnakers and Swan's are also good.

Yeah, I once had an eating out problem :)

The Italian food was great, the dessert chocolate cake was epic and even down to the lavAzza expresso was great. great great service. I was just amazed.

www.barbsplace.ca is a must for fish n chips and etc.

i shared a 2 piece with a friend, and mine was all dry, fried too long.
i just went back and told them and they gave me a new piece, no questions asked..they do have a reputation to uphold.

long line up though, never seemed to disappear.

yea i know... i looked up a whole bunch of places, but realized we could really only have 3 meals......-_-

went on august1st for the day to meet friends/relax.

breakfast on the ferry, sucked.
lunch was fish n chips @ barbs
dinner was burger @ pink bicycle, met a victoria food blogger (http://vicburgers.blogspot.com/).
after dinner was beer @ the sticky wicket (http://www.strathconahotel.com/the_s...___restau.html) ...such a big pub, sat outside on their famous outdoor patio. which has rooftop beach volleyball!!!..

we wanted to get buzzed but have fun so did a tamer version of the centurion (1 shot of beer for 100 min), hour power (60shots/60min).

only did 30 before we had to meet some other friends.

Yeah same here, we used to eat there every thursday (was our eat out day) because it's only a couple blocks from my house, but once we tried pretty much everything on the menu we haven't been back in a while.
