Parents car got it's window smashed about 2 years ago.
ICBC only paid for 50% of the repair cost

ICBC will always find a way to rape you.

i remember reading awhile back about a lexus IS owner that had the leather damaged the same way (smash and grab, broken window, dented/scratched door). i tried to do a search but couldn't find anything. but whoever did the repairs had an auto upholsterter (i think it was ambassdor in bby?) patch up the leather only. what i'm not sure is if that person's repairs were minor and if yours are too damaged to be repaired.

ICBC will try to sublet repair the cut leather to an upholstery shop such as trim up or fibernew. If they attempt and can't fix it, they will supplement the claim to include a complete seat leather/seat assembly replacement, depending on whether or not they come seperately.

deductible remains at your set level.

First ICBC will attempt to repair the damage to the seats
Second ICBC will attempt to locate a used seat
Lastly if neither 1 or 2 are acceptable ICBC will pay to replace the seat cover only - they won't replace the seat completely

so icbc will just give you a 'used' seat and call it a day?
(so the previous owner might have farted a thousand times on it)

i mean we all pay a lot of money for our insurance
and when shit happens
they just replace it with used parts?
that's lame i think
