hogs and rods charity poker rally

for members or non-members of cope378, it's for a good cause!

http://www.cope378.ca/news/hogs-and-...ty-poker-rally

COPE 378 is thrilled to invite you participate in the Hogs and Rods Poker Rally on Saturday, August 22. This unique event mixes some of the best elements of summer - cool bikes, fast cars and sunshine - into a family-friendly fundraiser for the United Way of the Lower Mainland.
Participants are encouraged to join the rally with their best and brightest ride, be it a classic hot rod or stand-out hog. Family vehicles and passengers of all ages are also warmly welcomed. Registration will take place between 9:30 and 10:00 am at Westburn Park on Parkwood Avenue in Burnaby.
The Rally is a simple combination of a car rally and a poker hand. The entry fee (or ante) for each poker hand is $10. At the first location, participants draw a card and are given directions for the entire route, and so on at the second stop with five stops in total. At the final location, participants evaluate their hands and decide whether or not they want hold, or buy a final card for $10. The highest hand wins $100 and the lowest $50. All other proceeds raised will go to the United Way of the Lower Mainland.
The Rally will wind through the most picturesque routes in the Fraser Valley for about three hours and end with a picnic and a classic car and motorcycle show. There will be a barbeque and refreshments at the final stop, back at Westburn Park. The barbeque is by donation and all are welcome, not just Rally participants. There's a playground and pool close by for the kids.
The Rally will be an exciting treat for the whole family, while raising funds for a great organization that does important work. The United Way of the Lower Mainland provides much needed social services to families, children and individuals. The UWLM also acts as a fundraising portal for many not-for-profit social service organizations in Metro Vancouver. COPE 378 is proud to be a long-time supporter of the important community work done by the UWLM, and eager to continue this support by making the Hogs and Rods Poker Rally a fulsome success. Your help towards this goal is greatly appreciated.
