aftermarket performance parts

So I have a 86 rx7 gxl and I'd like to start putting some performance under the hood so i'm wondering where everyone goes for superchargers, turbos, headers, etc.

Let me know where you go and hopefully i"ll be able to find somewhere good.

you can go see chris at eunos custom in northvan

but if you're wanting to turbo your car, its not an easy task as you'll need a lot of extra parts for it. i do have a set of used coilovers if you're interested

ya i go see chris on a regular basis, thats actually where i got my car from and i was actually thinking about superchargering my rx7 to get better power at lower rpm and then maybe later on adding a bigger turbo then stock while using the supercharger to spool it. but ya i may just go talk to him.

do cheap and easy mods for now because you will outgrow the car and want something better sooner than later and theres no point in being $15,000 into a $2500 car. dont make the same mistake so many of us have.

i think if you treat car modifying as a hobby then that already justifies the amount of money you dump into a car. Doesn't matter if its like a pimp my ride special where the car is worth $500 and they dump $50k into it.

OP, as long as you think its worth it and you won't regret it sometime down the road, then go for it. Twin charged FC sounds fun!

Agreed.

In my opinion, spend the time and money to mod the thing you can easily part out and install in any car that you buy in the future. You can even sell it for cash .

I'm talking about the nut behind the wheel.

so didn' quite get the answers i was hoping for, i've been told that right now the best thing for me to get would be a cold air intake so i'm wondering where are some good places to go and get this for cheap or any other performance parts cheap

although most of my money was spent on my wheels/tires which can be easily switched around/sold but RRxtar is right, just do small mods unless you actually have a lot of money to blow because you probably won't be seeing it back
