Was asking for a friend  We also have a friend coming with us who isn't an employee, so if they were still fairly cheap I was going to pick one up for him. But they're not, so we'll just take him with us.

LOL! just because its packed doesn't mean its great. there is NO VIBE at these events here. as a DJ, there's nothing more lame then dropping a sick bomb and only getting a slight reaction from half the crowd.

showtek played at a half empty colliseum and they enjoyed the crowd, so did zany / brennan heart / luna / pavo
u cant compare it to europe... no comparison. a lot of djs go into it not expecting the same kinda crowd reaction too

the reason why is because shows like these divide up the crowd. half only like hardstyles and half only like trance... while all the ppl that like funky house/breaks kinda sound go into the other room. there's absolutely no unison, not to mention about 30% of the crowd are old grandpas just wanting to get fucked out of their minds and wouldn't be able to tell you what genre was what.
i've talked to many dj's too and i know a lot of them enjoy playing in smaller intimate venues. just because they know for a fact all those ppl showed up for the same reason and that is to appreciate the music that they will play.
europe? nope i didn't mention anything about europe... not yet....
lol how about once vancouver gets caught up with the rest of north america first then we'll begin comparing with europe lol...
