Speeding on your L

Say 65 in a 50 zone, What's the penalty for a learner?

sho_bc 08-30-2009 01:26 AM

The same for everyone else.... $138 ticket for speed in municipality.

ilvtofu 08-30-2009 08:16 AM

So no license suspension?

Soundy 08-30-2009 11:29 AM

Probably not the first time, but get another ticket on your L, and a suspension is pretty much guaranteed.

if your parents or whoever is your "instructor" lets you drive that fast in a 50 they should get a slap in the face.

the L stage is about creating good habits, not seeing how fast you can get away with and learning to avoid tickets.

Considering that your supervisor let you clutch in and rev your engine to scare jaywalkers, I think you can pretty much do whatever you want in the car with him/her/whatever sitting next to you. Why limit yourself to 65km/h?

Not surprising that there are so many threads in this forum from N drivers, who've lost their licences due to more than one speeding ticket.

When I get passed by someone at a great rate of speed... 9 times out of 10, it's got a N on the back of the car...
