Talking Future Car

ARE WE TOO OLD TO DRIVE THIS CAR?
Concept car that we are probably too old to drive!
NO JOKE!
The new Benz - Very different....really different!
SCROLL DOWN...

This is the new Mercedes Benz SCL600

That's not what is different about it.

That either...

....and now for the 'really different' part:

Here is what is different...

No steering wheel, you drive it with a joystick.
No pedals either.

Can you drive with a joystick? Your kids and grandkids
probably can.

The influence of video games in our lives has really arrived,
wouldn't you say?

SCARY THOUGHT THAT NOW A 7-YEAR-OLD COULD STEAL YOUR CAR
AND PROBABLY DRIVE IT
BETTER THAN YOU.

The car is just plain ugly, I don't think that look will ever grow on me.
Now about driving with joysticks, I don't think the idea fits in very well with cars.
I think self-driving cars will come in play before this ever will.

that is one hell of an ugly car... future? no thanks...

as for joysticks, i dont even use them for driving games... i hate pushing my thumb just a little bit in... its either 100% pushed or not... in real life my wheels will go turn-center-turn-center-turn-center... sucky deal...

Why wouldn't most of us be able to drive with a joystick? The demographics here probably played Test Drive or Stunts with a joystick that had thumb and index triggers, with a couple buttons on the base. Hell, I'll control a vehicle using a keyboard with the cursor keys, shift with A and Z, and handbrake with the space bar.

BTW... i want to grate cheese on the wheels.
