Viet cuisine/VIET SUB good quick bite during lunch

This rest. has become my favorite lunch during weekdays at work.

Now those who work near me in downtown should try this joint.

on 452 Robson, between richards and seymour, basically one block across form futureshop.

Its a small joint, sits about 5-6, so dont expect anything spectacular in terms of setting.

Now i strongly encourage those that likes SPICEY FOOD. if u are a spicey mofo u gotta try this

Their spicey sauce is NOTHING u ever tasted before, very unique and good

their pho broth is pretty good, but portion is on the small side. $6.35 for one size only. But its their special sauce that u gotta try. put in about a large spoon of this special red sauce in this small container, than add ur regular rooster spicey sauce like every pho joints that has it, with about a tea spoon of it. and BANG u will have a very unique spicey tasty pho broth. worth the try if u are working close by as well as wanting a cheap eat.

If u are cheap and broke, just try their subs. grill chicken, ham, meatball, and vegie $3.25 each, very freshly made subs. or $3.75 for all of the above..the ultimate :)

I usually get the pho along with the sub, and u will walk out as a happy man gurantee

Ba Le Sandwich Shop (21-701 Kingsway and Fraser)
One Saigon (979 Hornby St., downtown) - long line-ups during lunch hour and the sandwiches are always sold out by the end of the day.
Joyeaux Cafe and Restaurant (551 Howe St., downtown) - lunch hour is always busy. They have good pho and vermicelli dishes. I haven't tried their sandwiches yet.

I work practically right across from this place, well, diagonally across, and i always see it. might go try it out seeing as you gave such a rave review of it.

I tried the sub last week during my lunch and it was decent and nothing special. I had much better. The portion inside is lacking compared to other Viet Subs I had.
