If you go in expecting Academy-Award winning performances, then yes, it won't be that great.

some of you have too high expectations!

i expect this to be a fun and non-stop action type of movie, sorta like the transporter movies, iffy story maybe? who cares, i just wanna see fighting and shit blowing up

if you want a deep story and great acting, go watch a drama

I'm going to just assume but I don't think anyone is expecting an acadamy award winning movie with an awesome script and top notch acting. I think everyone expects guns, violence, shiet blwoing up and it being entertaining. When people are talking about the hype and how it might end up sucking they mean just that and that is that it might not be that entertaining and not really as badass as we hoped. It wouldn't be the first time a movie had a lot of hype only to lack in action and be totally lame. Just my 2 cents and personally I can care less if this movie sucks cause I'm watching it for sure because really how can you not?

I'm going in with low expectations. Remember we were all kids when we watched "classic" actions movies and they seemed sooo good back then. I've watched some of them again and man they are cheesy (minus a few like Predator which IMO is a classic)

Go in and turn off your brain...and enjoy the action and tons of shit blowing up.

Watched the 3:50 show at Guilford yesterday.

Went in expecting:

-Not to be Grammy material
-Have good one-liners
-Ass kicking
-People dying
-Shit blowing up

It delivered on all levels!

Like others, can't go in expecting much...

I went into the movie expecting the worse... and .. it was pretty bad. Amusing at some parts, but just not a coherent plot, and the action scenes were so incoherent. Quite a shame!

Caught this Sunday night at Coquitlam. The audience looked like dropouts from UFC, LOL! Anyways, the action in this was top-notch but the dialogue was TERRIBLE, and caused the movie to grind to a halt whenever something wasn't blowing up or getting shot full of holes. Fortunately, the movie was 80% things getting blown up or shot full of holes, so I had a great time! One cool bonus - with all the action movie heroes on the screen at once you really got a good idea of who was still in shape. IMHO, Jet Li and Jason Statham looked the most polished (Statham REALLY kicked some ass) and Lundgren and Stallone have lost a step or two over the years, Couture was pretty much useless and Crews was good times. I'd give this a 5/10 as a movie, but an 8/10 on the enjoyment factor. ** Fingers crossed for a sequel - Maybe with Brock Lesnar and the Rock for sheer craziness. ***
