Sugar-free chocolate chips? Anyone know where to buy them? I can't seem to find them anywhere. I think the only places I haven't checked yet are Save-On and the Market on Yates, but I'll get around to those soon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |
Perhaps make you own using diabetic chocolate (those made with sugar substitutes like maltitol). Most chocolate (even dark) will have some sugar content, but your best bet is something with a sugar substitute. Hershey's does make some "sugar free" chocolate chips if you can find them. If you have the brand someone in a store perhaps could locate them easier. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...ct_id=10312014 I am assuming you are going to use them in something that doesn't require sugar.... |
Try these guys: Naturally For You Gift Bar - Exquisite Sugar-free (diabetic) Belgian Chocolate (250) 595-6234 Suite 106, 2250 Oak Bay Ave., Victoria, BC , V8R1G5 |
Roger's chocolates has sugar free bars, you could chop em up if you're desperate to make a recipe. |
Yea I'm looking for the ones with a sugar substitute. They've gotta be around somewhere. I know a few places have sugar free chocolate, Purdy's and Rogers among them, but I imagine they have to be available somewhere. Thanks for the walmart link. I can't find the same thing on the walmart.ca page but I'll stop in there and check it out next time I get out that way. And yea, my mother's diabetic, so every so often I'll make a point of cooking some relatively sugar free stuff, desserts/muffins/cookies included. Thought I'd expand the repertoire a little. |
