saw the Pilot and I liked it, having never seen the original (or not even knowing there was an original) I really got into it once the "V"'s we're "revealed"

as for the shows future i've heard that the first 3 episodes will air and then it'll be on a break until january or February next year when the other 13 or so episodes that were ordered will air

Yeah according to wikipedia its to break for the 2010 Winter Olympics coverage, and to make V into more of a television "event" rather than series. Sounds to me like a great way to kill momentum and fan base.

Yeah Nathan Fillion likes to leave easter eggs on Castle, mostly Firefly related. And it wasn't "pretty much like Malcolm Reynolds", it was the exact outfit lol. There have been a few other ones recently too including another reference in the same episode. Just have to watch really closely.
