im busy during court date, what to do?

i cant miss class, i have to show up at 9am on tuesday for peeing in an alley

what are the consequences for missing the date?
can i go in on monday (tomorrow) and just pay the ticket?

also, is there a way to appeal it? i mean it was almost 4 am and everywhere nearby was closed (and it was snowing), i had to pee so bad i was so nice to the officer and explained to him why i had to pee outside since there was NO WHERE open nearby, not to mention there was like a foot of snow im not gonna walk around in that to look for a washroom

You can always pay it, before or after the court date.

Or you can go to the courts and ask them to reschedule the date stating you have class and cannot miss it.

The other thing is that, like any other ticket, if the cop doesn't show up then you win.

Is it tmmrw?

You can go to the office and ask for a change in court day.

When is your court date?

You can't reschedule on short notice. And you need to provide proof of why you are missing the scheduled date. Be prepared to be refused/rejected.

you only win if you show up and the cop doesn't.

If you don't show up, then you're just guilty and you'll have to pay the fine. I think.

So are you going to court tomorrow? or did you pay for it already today?

Talk about priorities. Now you have a warrant out for your arrest.

LOL.. and knowing the police in this city, you'll be arrested sooner for your outstanding public urination warrant than a gang member for killing someone...

It is so obviously a traffic violation. While peeing, he was in his car and driving and yet managed to unzip his pants, take off his seat belt, roll down the windows, drove with his feet and finally whipped it out and peed while doing 120km in downtown traffic.

I don't know how you could not think that this isn't a traffic violation. It so obviously is.

Ticket is a by-law ticket and the warrant is for failure to attend to court.

I believ that it will be an unendorsed one...our parking bylaw ones here were. That means they arrange a date with Bubba for you when they find you....whenever & wherever that is. I'd be contacting somebody real soon...or Russel won't be the only one gettin real hurt.

Stop asking for #s, you obviously got a court notice and the info you need is on there.

If you reside in Vancouver, you can either surrender yourself at 312 Main St, wait for them to execute the warrant and assign you a new court date, or you can go to the court and pay for it and have them pulled the warrant.

Next time, get your priorities straight. Believe me, you'd rather owe ICBC money than the government.

Missing a court day = warrant for your arrest + guilty.
