you can do it without a chainsaw.

bang your head against the table until it is sore.

saw the table in half. 2 halves make a whole. climb out of the hole.

then shout until your voice is hoarse and ride off into the sunset.

Hit the first switch and leave it on for a bit, turn it off then turn on the second switch. GO into the room, the light that is on is the second, the bulb that is warm is the first and the bubl that is cold is the third.

New riddle:
Four cars come to a four way stop, all coming from a different direction. They can't decide who got there first, so they all go forward at the same time. They do not crash into each other, but all four cars go. How is this possible?

One of spies A and B always tell the truth while the other may say anything. They are sent to investigate statements W,X,Y, and Z, and making the following reports:
Spy A says:
Exactly two of W,X and Y are true
Exactly two of X,Y, and Z are true
Exactly one of W and Z is false
Spy B says
Exactly two of W,X and Y are true
Exactly two of X,Y, and Z are true
Exactly two of W,Y, and Z are true
Determine which spy tells only the truth, and which assertions are true.

Alatar 10-22-2009 09:02 PM

Spy B tells the truth.

Statement Y isn't true.

If only two statements are true in each scenario, the following is the case:

If W and X are true, Y is false
If X and Z are true, Y is false
If W and Z are true, Y is false.
