Oh man that sandwich was so good...After a night of partying we'd send someone there to buy those sandwiches. They load them up like crazy!
You won't find those hear tasting that good..just like how you can't get those cherry soda cans here I think.

You can buy the meat at Costco by Dunn's.

There's a reason it's called a Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich. Unfortunately, while you may be able to find montreal smoked meat, or even a place that sells the sandwiches, trust me when I say that it won't compare to what you get in Montreal.

I had an old boss that would bring a bunch of meat from Schwart's in Montreal. http://www.schwartzsdeli.com/index2.html
I've been to Phat a few times in Yaletown and thought it wasn't too bad.

i tried frenchies (on hastings--forgot the cross street but it's before nanaimo if you're travelling west) during the summer and they say they are known for their smoked meat sandwiches. i thought it was decent but it wasn't anything out of this world. but then again, i don't think i've had enough smoked meat sandwiches to really know what's super good and super bad.
it's a diner environment with a 1950s decor. super cheesy inside but it definitely sells you the feeling you've travelled back in time!

It's not pipping hot as Schwartz's but try Annie's in New Westminster.

I'm sitting here eating a nice big Schwartz's sandwich right now (i pick up a couple pounds whenever i'm on that side of town). There is no comparison. You can find similar ones other places in Montreal but there just isn't anything that compares in Vancouver. I've had the one at Costco and it's ok but if you're craving Schwartz's it won't do it for you.

The food section at Costco sells them, though IMO they didn't make it very well though.

lol so good | Looks like either Reuben's or Dunn's. A little bigger than a schwartz sandwich unless you make your own but definitely not as good (I found other places it tastes more like pastrami).
