Simply Thai in Yaletown used to be pretty good, but I haven't been for years. I heard there is a new place on 4th Ave called Maenam which is apparently pretty good, and there is another one on broadway called Montri's which is pretty decent!

+1 for Simply Thai. I find them to be good. Never had any problems with them. I also like Khai Thai Cuisine on Seymour and Robson.

I've been to maenam and thought it was completely over hyped. Some dishes were hit and miss.. i read the review on georgia straight... was expecting the best pad thai in the entire world... noodles were gummy and flavourless...

Urban Thai Bistro @ 1119 Hamilton Street in Yale Town is excellent and I love the Pad Thai and the shrimp cake over there.

Sandar`s Thai Garden on Scott Rd and 74th ave (Future Shop parking lot) is a really good hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant. Flavors and ingredients used were pretty nice.

Edit: Just realized you said Vancouver area... but whatever :P
