| Recommendations for Restaurants in NY?
Heading to New York for a week, any recommendations for restaurants?
We're open to all types & price ranges...and we're staying right in the middle of Manhattan.
Thanks!

Tarralucci el Vino (I think that's how it's spelt.)
Damn it, I was just in New York 3 weeks ago too!

I'm going to suggest Barbetta, the oldest Italian restuarant in New York. I went there for my birthday, and it was absolutely great! Not too sure about the weather, but they have an outdoor court where you can wine and dine. Service was very good as well. http://www.barbettarestaurant.com/home.html |

Blue Ribbon - try the Beef Marrow with oxtail Marmelade. open LATE! a lot of the chefs from restaurants come here after their places close for the night.
Patsy's Pizzeria - in my opinion, better than lombardis
Juniors cheesecake in time square.
for shits and giggles - Hong Kong Station on Grand St.
all the other guys suggestions are pretty spot on.

Momofuku, hands down! Theres a few locations... 4 now (saam, noodle bar, milk and ko). The chef's pork buns has been featured everywhere. David Chang (the chef who opened these restaurants) won the James Beard award for 2009.
It's a casual dining place... where east meets west. A must try for sure!

Montreal smoked meat =/= pastrami
I personally prefer pastrami.

Thanks All!
Just got back...damn good food, City was abuzz (Yankees winning World Series, NY Marathon, Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame concerts, Mayoral elections, new Warship launched).
Went to:
- Carnegie Deli (damn good cheesecake...the sandwiches were great!)
- Lombardi's : delicious pizza
- Momofuku (Noodle Bar) : very tasty variations of soups & thai food
- Nobu : worth every penny...very tasty sushi
- Pig & Whistle : really cheap and tasty Irish fare, very close to our hotel
- Peter Luger : Couldn't pass up on steak
- Junior's : cheesecake was good, but I think Carnegies was better
- Buddakon : The decor & layout of this place is amazing, makes Vancouver restaurants seem tiny & boring. Food was excellent to match
- Per Se : splurged and ate here...fantastic...next on the list, French Laundry!
Again, thanks for all the suggestions, have to go back to try more and more!
