Apparently there's a local Vancouverite starring in this film, Osric Chau.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1859543/

That's kinda cool. A lot of my friends actually know him personally.

^ yeah, my friend went to school with him and said he was class president or something (Churchill)

anyway, it wasn't as bad of a movie as I was expecting it to be. There were actually quite a few laugh out moments

Spoiler!

storyline = EH
i find these "world coming to an end" movies really predictable so that's why whatever happens in the movie isn't really a surprise
BUT as people said the special effects were pretty dang good

I would say it's one of the best movies I have seen this year.

Does anyone know that was an An-225 ? [ Is this even a spoiler? ]

I enjoyed it. Just turn off your brain and enjoy the graphics.
What did everyone expect. The world is coming to an end and that is exactly what they gave us. LOL

We watched it with a packed theater and a swear someone was getting jacked off behind us since it smelt like cock, maybe not as bad as the movie but we still enjoyed it.

Some funny scenes and some cry-cry one for the girls but overall 7/10

Just got back from it and I thought it was alright. I mean neither I or anybody expected an Oscar winning movie or anything but for a movie that's meant to purely entertain it did its part for the most part. I agree though it was a bit too long and could have cut out some shiet but ah wells.

2/10

CGI was great but the horrible story/acting/(demeaning saudis)/etc/etc/length was sooooo lame

everyone in the theatre was immediately GONE at the end of the film, turn around and it was a ghost town (it was full)
