Received Notice & Order (VI) as a passenger of a vehicle Last week there was some sort of trap set up by the RCMP on No. 2 Rd and Westminster. My brother was driving me to work in my mom's vehicle and we were asked to pull over. We were not speeding. We were told that we were pulled over for tint. I admitted to a cop that I had received a tint ticket 3 days prior in the hopes that we would not get the exact same ticket. So it ends up that my brother got a tint ticket, and for some reason I as a passenger received a Notice and Order (VI Box 2). I don't understand the logic here. The ticket states at the top that the "officer has reasonable and probably grounds to believe that the vehicle described below, driven by: <my name>. I wasn't driving nor do I own the car. Can I have this kind of ticket canceled and how do I proceed? Thanks. |
Whatever you do, don't ignore it. ICBC will process it as usual and flag the vehicle, because they don't know the story. I suggest that you contact ICBC and tell your story. |
