Goin on the Ferry... Whats it like for us guys with slammed cars getting on and off the ferry? I've been before when its pretty steep should I try and time my ferry trip with a certain tide to make sure the ramps are flat or does it really matter? Berz out. |
Take up both lanes and hit it on an angle. Also the lower deck is less harsh of an angle. This thread comes up every few months... maybe it should just be stickied |
The higher the tide the less steep it will be. My old roomate and I used to go back and forth all the time in his tiburon that would drag over speedbumps, if he can do it i'm sure you can too http://www.revscene.net/forums/advic...hlight=ferries http://www.revscene.net/forums/ferry...hlight=ferries |
ask for the lower deck and you will be fine. |
You can request the deck? I thought the lower deck was for overheights? Thanks for the info guys and sorry for not following my own use the search button motto lol. Sticky this for sure ;) Berz out. |
yup u can request the lower deck. do it all the time when i drive my g35 over. |
overheights get priority, but its pretty bloody rare the entire lower deck is full of them, and even then theres room for a car or two to squeeze on |
I dont see the major problem with loading the ferry, I know my stuff is lower than 90% of you guys, and I load just fine, no matter what ferry I catch.....But I also dont have mufflers that hang 6" below my frame rails. |
lol @ this thread you're timing the ferry with tide so much fail my contribution - go on an angle |
Ditch your ricer setup for some proper suspension and drive straight over that damn ramp like a man |
throw that bitch in second and plug your ears |

my car is slammed, and I barely make it. bit of scraping, use the lower deck, if you have the option of adjustable coilovers like me, you can use the raise the car for the ferry option. I don't but I know a couple guys that do. |
jump it. |
