Hi guys. i also did some riding over the weekend.

(Sunday) This was my first time going to Wycliff Park and WOW was it windy with nomerous consecutive hills. It was a good thing I had a "granny gear". hehe First break at Wycliff and enjoyed the view. Second break was Stanley Park Prospect Point. I had to cut short the ride and started heading back home from Stanley Park due to not enough time and it was getting too cold. Originally i had planned on taking on UBC as well. I guess that'll be for next time.

74km for this ride

here is my strava info - Bike Ride Profile | ride to Wycliff Park near Vancouver | Times and Records | Strava

(Monday) I did one today with 2 buddies of mine at Richmond and WOW it was another windy ride. Worse than the Sunday ride. It started out slow because we were going against the wind specially at Iona. But all in all it was a pretty ok ride.

67km for this ride

Did a quick 20km around the neighborhood to break it in. Super fast bike compared to my old roach.

Saturday and Sunday look nice it's going to be nice!

Going to do a ride out to Iona Beach on Saturday. Might join my friends on the LSCR (Lower Seymour Conservatory Reserve) ride on Sunday. Some said it's not bad, while my other friend said it was brutal

I always thought it was weird how some manufacturers choose to run cables on top of the top tube?

No bike lane, but a sidewalk which is plenty wide and smooth. Similar to the Canada Line bridge.

I think that they run the cables on the top tube of that bike, because it's a cyclocross bike. Less mud to contaminate the cables and housing, and also no cable digging into your shoulder when you have to carry it over logs.
I agree with the slicks for summer! Personal opinion, get at least 25mm wide tires. If you go 23, bike will look funny with all that clearance.

As for Sunday, what time and place? Maybe for me..
