A buddy of mine bought one too but can't find a good spot to use his in his apt...if you're interested in picking one up, I can connect you two cuz he's looking to unload it...
Thanks, bud. Have you had any issues with cable routing? I don't have the rear brake cable internally routed through the top tube and the top tube is sloping. It'll be about 2 years before I move into my apartment and actually need this though.

Yeah I've been feeling that 50/34 is a bit small. I do quite a bit of climbing on my commute to work on all the sunnier days. Hornby and Ontario street provides me hill climb training on both to and from work. Not as hardcore as some people who do three peak runs. But I try to eek out as much out of my muscles as possible.

Nah no issues with external routed cables at all. My previous Giant was external routed cables and it worked just great.

gosh, I'm getting annoyed by the weather here in Burns Lake. It's above zero in the day, but drops below zero at night and snows. Can't bike yet but can't do winter stuff because the snow is melting.

Wow. That sucks. I did not even know that was possible to do that much damage just with your chain slipping off!

It was his chain ring bolt, essentially grinding away at the frame with every revolution of the crank!

Is that frame toast now?

Frame is recoverable. Repairer guarantees stronger than original.

The chain ring bolt was working loose and popped out as I was going full gas. The carbon wasn't worn out over a period of time. It was one full-speed rotation as the bolt came out and jammed into the chainstay.

Trashed my 39T chainring in the process too... When I asked about replacement chainring, they quoted $110!!!!

But found a used one on ebay for $50.

It's a BMC frame of some kind. I recognize the iSC text on the chainstay, hehe.

EDIT: At least I think it is... I might wrong.

Wow brutal damage on the frame..

Thinking of picking up a new stem. Does anyone have any input on either of the following?

3T Arx Pro
Ritchey WCS C260
Thomson X2

Any others I'm missing out on in the approx $100 range?

I've got a 3T Arx pro and a Ritchey WCS C260. I believe dat_steve is running the Thomson X2. (Edit: I stand corrected - he's using an X4.)

I don't know. To me, and aesthetics aside, a stem is a stem, is a stem.
