Tuning

Does anyone who any shops that can tune a Chrysler 300 with a Diablo Predator or something similar? I don't feel like buying the actual tuner, and would rather just get it done at a shop with one.

I just got one of those for my trans am, and I think mopac can get you a custom tune made for it. The predator already has a tune loaded inside but that is only for minor mods and pretty much stock cars. If you added stuff like headers you need a custom tune made, downloaded onto the predator and then uploaded to the car.

The answer soley depends on you.

It depends on how much the Diablo unit costs, how much to have it installed and how much money it will take to have it tuned, asked yourself,is the price for all of this worth it for the gains you will be seeing?

Example: if it's going to cost you a total of $1000+,only to get 10 hp,then it's so not worth it.

You have to buy the tuner period.

Everytime a tune ( canned or custom ) is loaded onto a car, the tuner saves the stock tune and the tuner is "locked" to the ECU .

The tuner cannot be used on another car until the stock tune is written back on the the car, so its not like a shop will benefit by giving you a tune and having a useless tuner.

Predators should be cheap anyways since they have Trinity comming out soon.
