N driver, drinking question, how long till i can drive after 1 beer?

always wondered this, when i drink i beer i just wait till i feel sobor which is like a few hours or so.. is this ok to do or would i still have a lil bit of alcohal in my system and read .02 or w.e.... or do i have to wait 24 hours after 1 beer to be clean 00.00

illicitstylz 12-13-2009 06:34 PM

differs between everybody in terms of how their body processes their alcohol.

c32 12-13-2009 06:35 PM

so if i would feel almost fine, it would read good to go? and read 0?

TOS'd 12-13-2009 06:52 PM

N driver has to be a clean 0.00 when driving.

ALMOST fine is not fine.

I'm assuming you're asking this in regards to the upcoming holidays and the celebrations that involve drinking.

This means increased frequency and chances of roadblocks, therefore a higher chance of getting busted by the coppers.

Don't risk it, you'll end up having to wait more than 2 years for Class 5 if you fuck up now as a N Driver

If you feel it at all you're going to be blowing a number (or even if you dont feel it you likely still could).
If you've been out partying all night, sleep it off for 8 hours and get up and drive you can still have alcohol in your system

jimzilla 12-13-2009 07:39 PM

Not worth the risk.

Your best bet is to not even take a chance because you don't know the exact rate at which your body metabolizes alcohol. Even with your class 5 you shouldn't be taking a chance. Even a little bit of alcohol can impair your ability to drive.

Well, go get your Class 5 then! And stop crying about it. We hear it all the time, no one cares.

If you have to drink... plan a different way home. Like catching a ride with a sober friend. Or call Operation Red Nose!!

There was a roadblock on the No2 Road bridge last Saturday night close to midnight. I was coming from ubc and got stopped there... cop asked if I had anything to drink and I said no. He let me go after that.

Better not to take a chance if you still have N.

when ever a cop asks you something that may incriminate you, always say no.

In flight school they always taught us "12 hours, bottle to throttle". I'm no doctor but I'd say it's a safe bet.

How can you trust the people?? Is there some sort of reputation behind it? What if they mug you and your car?

like stevo911_ said...

i dont remember paying for it...but i was also plasterd beyond belief...but its PERFECT for those times when you drive somewhere...only plan on having 1-2 beers...but end up shit faced...and i know 90% of you who end up drunk and have your car with you refuse to leave your car there....this is just a much easier way to get home in 1 piece without having to leave your car anywhere..

isnt this company part of MADD?

TBH, one beer will not throw you off at all... 5% of 355mLs is roughly 18mL and its being consumed over a longer period of time than say shots of vodka.

you feel different after 1 beer? if so, you probably shouldn't be driving after drinking one beer. who knows, you might black out and start street racing when your inner-drunk-speedracer comes out
