So my friends mom...

Curbed her 06 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro while driving around...

apparently she was going...an okay pace and slid while making a lefter. she didnt know what was wrong so she drove it to my friends place...upon analysis:

first look...nothings wrong right?

now check out the wicked positive camber

now check out the 9" chunk of alloy and rubber missing

now check out the godly alignment

wow eh....im surprised she drove it all the way from burnaby to east side without a problem...called the shops and they towed it in for repair...

how much u guys think this would cost?

Positive camber and negative caster. Must be pulling extremely to the right when your friends mom was driving. Something else is bent as well as CA's. $1k-$2k maybe.

You're wrong, you can never convince middle aged asian woman that their AWD with summer tires is inferior than RWD with winter tires.

Explaining the purpose of winter tires to them is like trying to explain the concept of the chaos theory to a preschooler. It's all just going to go wrong.

^LOLOL friction from an extra diffs is enough to stop my car in the snow!

Although to get going in the snow based on my own experience I say the awd car > RWD with snow tires (open diff :P) but to stop and corner (where it counts) snow tires make a huge difference

drive carefully everyone!

Sometimes you never know, when your brakes lock up (abs & panic - holding it) and a slight patch of ice..

I'm going to try and avoid as much driving as I can, I don't need the stress of a repair bill or meetings with icbc at this time of the year.

Rim =100 - 1000( audi oem or aftermarket.)
alignment = 80 - 100
Lower arm = 100 - 300
mount and balance wheel = 20ish
shop charge = 30ish

then shop wage on top of that

Cost should never be a factor, since it's minor expenses if your mom's friend rolls in an Audi, ahhaha.

Ouch, that's going to cost major $$$ if she towed her car to Audi. I would imagine a few g's at least.
