it's cause most of them are rear mid-engine and the rear seats are taking up by the engine to give awesome weight distribution and low moment of inertia
also helps shed some weight from not having rear seats.
i thought a car forum would know this shit?

the Toyota iQ is quite.....difficult on the highway when I drove it in Japan.
Yes surprisingly it will do 160 or so but it won't stay there unless you weld your foot to the floor.

but it's what everyone else is doing lol.
On the other hand the iQ has this "ECO" light on when you drive it in a eco friendly way (which works under 120km/h only) so it might help me fix my driving habits.
the ECO light is just like the 70s Crown eco gauge but simpler
