Dispute question about points

I was wondering if its possible to just dispute the points, and agree to pay the ticket? It sounds like it makes no sense, but I thought someone mentioned this to me once, I guess it may depend on the judge?

I don't think you can dispute the points and not the ticket. The specific points come with the specific ticket so you can't really contest one without contesting the other. What you could do is contact the officer and see if you could work out a deal.

Your ideal deal would be to have him reissue you another ticket that would not contain points. Though you might need to bite a larger fine but you won't have to deal with the points. This may or may not work depending on who the officer is.

The JP would likely be in the same situation.

Justice of Peace or simply put, the judge who deals with these particular incidents.
