Driving a RHD across the border

Hey guys quick question. I have a mazda RHD rx7. I have a potential buyer across the border in bellingham. Can I drive the car across the border without any problems? What's the procedure in transferring the ownership to him?

You'll get grief at the border since you're not supposed to get out of your car. Best to take someone along with you and avoid any potential trouble.

you can't sell a JDM car to anyone in USA, unless it's going to be used as an off-road only vehicle.

on that note I tried coming back to Van in my RHD car and I leaned over as much as possible to give them my passport. Then he told me "just gtfo" without the tf.

not entirely true. There was a way around it back when BC still issued new vin's for the imported cars.

Yes you are allowed to drive the car in the US, I've driven my RX7 to San Fransisco last year. I was pulled over becuase cops were curious but no ticket since I was just visiting and the car is registered in British Columbia. You are not allowed to legally register an import car that is less than 25 years old in most States including Washignton. I assume your interested buyer is buying this car for track use only. If he tries to register it that will be notified to the police and the car CAN possibley be crushed... I personally know people who have had their cars crushed, the US is really harsh on this rule.

Make sure you check the exact rules and regulations, and if your selling something usually the buyer should come to you and pick the car up......

I thought you could import a car into the states if there was an US equivalent? It just costs more then its worth, or something like that ?
