Really depends on what you're looking for.

Are you looking for a reliable car?

Or are you looking for a car can you can mod?

Import? Japanese/Euro? Domestic?

if you are looking for something cheap on gas, reliable, and generally economical. Look no further than a Toyota Corolla (the old gens of course). a civic wouldn't be a bad choice either, and with a civic you can probably throw some money at it when you have it

Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

$2000 car ur looking at anywhere from 150K to 300K, depending on year

btw: save the money ur gonna spend on mods and get a better car, because the potential repairs for some of these older cars can absolutely rape your wallet.

go to the craigslist auto sales section, set a min/max price and pick a brand and see what comes up.

for example:

http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...612898760.html
http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...613682236.html

don't waste your money on mods... not on anything this old/cheap. you may as well just flush your wallet down the toilet now because you're going to need a rainy day fund when something (will) go bad. and remember when it's this old aircare is a constant concern. use whatever you buy as a commuter/beater and concentrate on saving up more $$$ or build up some credit for maybe leasing/financing something more worthwhile in the future.

It isn't so much picking on grammar or the general misuse of the english language as much as it is a general disrespect for other members.

Some people feel the need to be asses on the internet and so RS is no exception. You will find these trolls on all boards because they lack the maturity to restrain themselves.

It isn't even "welcome to RS", it is more like "welcome to life".

best bet is to go to your local public auction which is Adesa public auto auction in Richmond and pick something reasonable and hope it comes out under 2k....

buy a $1000 cavalier/sunfire and use the other $1000 for insurance and misc repairs etc.

my '97 cavy is still running strong after an unbelievable torrent of abuse over the years. they are not particularly sporty and they are pretty common, but they are not stolen as often as civics, parts are a bit cheaper, and they are built a bit beefier, and fuel economy is very similar to a similar 4 door civic or corolla.
