RS Spring Meet: Surrey Pre-Meet

So I decided to stem this from the official meet thread, since there's a few people in Surrey that want to pre-meet and go down as a group (and I don't know the way so I'll get lost LOL).

So possible locations for the pre-meet anyone? I'm thinking the Sears parking lot at Guildford Mall since it's near Highway 1, and we can just head out onto 152nd and go. Thinking of meeting up say, 9 or 9:30 AM so we can get there a bit early for anyone in a car club to reserve a spot?

i'll probably be down for this since i dont know the way either lol

So far it's looking like 5 people. I've got a friend in an AE86 and his friend in a turbo cavalier, and my buddy in a mk2 Golf that are going/already attending. Luckily two people have a GPS so it's possible we won't get lost unless shit happens lol.

EDIT: If there's still a lack of attention to this thread by the Thursday before the meet, I may consider just calling it off.

Nikko!
That mk2 GTI is a goner, rolling with my Mk3 Jetta instead.
Also, I'm down for the premeet!

CorneringArtist 03-10-2010 11:18 PM

Dammit, Kamil!

Buddy in the 'rolla is going to be hanging in South Surrey with the turbo Cavalier, so so far, we're on our own.

sebTeggy 03-11-2010 08:11 AM

there should be at least 10 or so of us from integras, if anyone is still coming down shoot me a message and I can give you my number xD

8thcivic looks like it'll have 5 or 6 cars meeting at guildford between the red robin and walmart (southside of 104th ave) along with some cars from vancouver civics. We'll be leavin there about 9:30.

So it's alright if me and maxwells_hammer roll down with you guys? The Civics being followed by a VW and a Toyota would look pretty decent.

I might show up early as hell so I don't miss the group.

The Mk2 was a total dud... paint peeling everywhere, drove like utter junk.
Surprised he was asking 2 grand for it, ugh.

Also, go me for being the only German car in this premeet. Now, hopefully that lot doesn't get too full on a Sunday morning (old ladies love their Sears).

Civic crew is only bringing maybe a dozen cars, and keep in mind they're meeting near Red Robin, there's a boatload of parking there. paving is rough though, I made a random trip to Wal-Mart with him in his AE86, and he was dodging rough spots like crazy to preserve his shocks.

VW's always need work, especially the older ones. don't beat yourself up too badly for it.

maxwells_hammer 03-11-2010 09:05 PM

My shocks are almost gone, but I'm still alive

Oh clearly, I would be the best one to know to this LOL. The amount of work I put into my Jetta...
totally worth it though.
Although seriously, that GTI was junk. He had to use a crescent wrench to prevent idle from reaching 4000.

Anyone can go, doesn't matter. As long as you aren't a complete tool and peeling burnouts on the drive area. A buddy of mine in an AE86 is going with his friend in a turbo Cavalier

Cool, weather depending I may bring my camaro out its been a while since ive put it on the road.

Mephology 03-14-2010 03:16 AM

If some of you guys are planning to show up to the Club Integra Pre-meet at Langara then you don't want to take hwy 1. It's the opposite direction. You will want to take Alex Fraser bridge towards Richmond/Vancouver.

Alpine50 03-16-2010 12:12 AM

so the pre meet in surrey is still going down at guilford mall??? if so i'll probably come by or at least try and come by with 2 friends.

CorneringArtist 03-16-2010 07:17 AM

It's likely with the Honda guys, so it'll be by the Red Robin.

Alpine50 03-16-2010 12:30 PM

Alright then.

I posted over on 8thcivic, and they said that they'd be going down with VCC at 9:30. The meetup is at 9 though.

dubzz24 03-19-2010 08:37 AM
