does anyone know a place for cheap priced hockey gear????

i am looking for hockey stick. bauer left hand 70-80 flex with a iginla or malken curve. i know they go for around 200 but is there anywhere i can get it for half that price???

As with most items you can buy used, keep scouring Craigslist for a deal. I've found some top of the line composites that were a previous year's model for dirt cheap (like $30-$70 cheap). You can also buy pro stocks for almost half the price of a retail composite but you'll rarely find a 70-80 flex.

sports exchange on burrard and...7th has good prices if you're looking for new stick.

cyclone taylor is good too.

better prices than sports chek.

For cheap sticks...when you go to stores such as Cyclone Taylors or the Hockey Shop...ask them where there pro-stock sticks are. These are sticks used by pros only once and if they dont like it they ara sent back. They can be significantly cheaper.

If you can get stuff shipped to a place across the border you should try www.hockeymonkey.com or www.hockeygiant.com.

They usually have very good deals on equipment. Especially with the dollar being to high right now.

burrard and 6th. seconded. they have a good array of sticks. everything from $45 entry level retail sticks to $60 pro stocks to $200 retail models

Was at Cyclone's last month and the One95 sticks were going for $280 Cdn. Was at Hockey Giant last week in Anaheim and picked up the same one95 stick for $120US.

Not that I'd recommend buying those $45 composites. $60 pro stocks sound like a deal though, are they older models like 7Ks?

Do you still get the warranty if you bought it in the States? Still a good deal though, pretty much like buying a pro stock ONE95 locally from Cyclones for $150.

if he's a beginner, he wont be able to tell the difference between the $45 composite and the $200 technological marvel.

yeah, there's 7K '06 snake grips for $60. some STs for $100, and the deal of the century if you like obscure patterns: 2x '07 7Ks for $150.

a few months ago sticks were still being sold for full pull, all the new gear comes out in a month, so stuff is on sale. the US has better prices due to the outrageous duties canada puts on stuff, something like 18%. its a good deal to buy from across the border if you're down there long enough to escape the duties.

the one95 pro stocks are great at $150, i have a couple. some of them look like repainted XXXX or X:60 though, which isnt a bad thing, but definitely not the same stick.

another option is the canucks' gear sale. brand new or lightly used sticks go for as low as $75.

Yup, but the only hassle is going through them again for the warranty. I've done it before. Sent it back on their tab, and they sent it back to me on their tab.

Sportchek has some older 7k SicKicks and Vector 10s for $69 a few weeks ago. Not bad considering those were higher end sticks a few years ago.

Leopold Stotch 03-31-2010 09:08 PM

^ vector 10 isn't a bad stick

OP best bet is Clist i'd say

i saw a 77 flex bauer x60 for 140
