Jacket sitting in Canadian customs for 7+ business days. What gives?

I have never experience this before...7+ days for a jacket to clear customs.

WOW, is all I can say. I've had numerous things shipped from the U.S. in the past two months but they usually take 2-3 days tops to clear.

Is there anyway to get it expedited, so it gets checked quicker?

What are my options here? My other concern is...what happens when something goes missing? Maybe that's why the status hasn't been updated.

The handler liked what he saw perhaps? fcuk!

Please fill me in. REALLY appreciate you taking the time to reply back.

Arrived in customs March 8th at 9pm...shipped via USPS Priority INT.

PS - a seller on ebay once informed me that the box these shoes were shipped in were damaged and the seller ws refunded by insurance(but they marked value down for me and got back less unfortunately)

So I'm just wondering...who comes along to label it lost or damaged?
I have the sender/seller calling USPS in the morning.

I would contact Customs. I just had a riding jacket shipped from the USA and it sat at customs for a couple of days. I think they were just trying to calculate how much tax or duties to charge me for the jacket.

stuff takes forever, especially if they feel like opening up the package.

it's rather dumb, but i ordered something from a reputable store down south, and they still opened it up, and it shipped within 1 day to the border, and 1 day to my house, but took 2 weeks at the border
