Opinions on 2010 Toyota Matrix for mom

so my mom calls this morning telling me she wants to trade in their 02 camry for for a 10 Matrix

some sorta rebates program going on, so she can get a good deal on the trade in with toyota dealer, also because Matrix sits higher so its better for her lower back pain.

now, i live in taiwan right now so i am not up to date with the Matrix, any reviews on those?

since its for mom, most likely she is only getting the base model, or maybe 4wd XR, so guys please dont suggest the XRS

and does the matrix has any problems with the recent toyota issues?

thanks!

i don't know what the future holds for the matrix, since its pontiac vibe counterpart no longer exists since GM pulled the plug on pontiac and has opted out of the NUMMI partnership... maybe someone more toyota-oriented might know more than this

Toyota is recalling an additional 1.09 million vehicles in the United States over accelerator pedal problems.

The latest recalls affect five models: 2008-2010 Highlander, 2009-2010 Corolla, 2009-2010 Venza, 2009-2010 Matrix, and 2009-2010 Pontiac Vibe.
Yeah it is affected, but whether its fixed already on a new car, your mom should ask and make sure.
