Anyone use BG44k?

Anyone tried this BG44k cleaner additive? I was given a bottle from a co-worker. He said it helped his car's fuel consumption and that he does it once a year.

I have never ever added anything into my 10yrs old honda's fuel tank before except for gasoline. I am a skeptic and wonder if anyone has tried it.

Where can I buy this locally if its safe and it works, maybe i will buy some more for my other car too.

if u want to clean ur engine then just stick to sea foam.
dont really trust other brands. i mean they work, but im not sure if they work as well as sea foam does.

I've seen it at NAPA.

With the BG44k, I've heard some good things about it so I bought one at the dealership (it comes with a bottle of fuel injection cleaner too). Didn't notice any difference. It's suppose to be a pretty strong solvent but it seemed like snake oil to me. You mind as well use those bottle additives you can get at the gas stations (Techron, Tactrol, etc) which are much cheaper and does a similar job.

I know that at the NAPA on Lougheed, the seafoam is sitting on the front counter. If not, go up to the front counter and turn around. It should be right there.

Last time I checked, it's on the left side of the right counter.

If your concern with your fuel system, I would recommend switching brand of gas. I've really good luck with Shell V power after loyally screwed by Chevron for a decade. Shell additive may be able to clean up your top instead of using over-the-counter additive.

NAPA is the only one who carries sea foam, its exclusive to them for some reason, the parts guy at LORDCO told me that he wished they could get it...

BG products are pretty awesome. If you can't find it in a shop like lordco, go to small garages, or even dealers. My small shop in squamish stocks that stuff and we use it with almost every tune-up. I've also seen BG posters at north shore hyundai. I'd assume most auto repair places would carry what you're looking for.

BG is pretty commonly used by professionals and the 44k is normally put in the tank after BG's fuel injection service to remove loose deposits and residues. They also sell a milder cleaner called CF5.

At the end of the day though, proper maintenance > all.

Also revving your car up on a daily basis will clean out carbon well.

Can i just dump the whole sea foam into my full gas tank? I dont want to follow the procedure where u have to do 1/3 here, 1/3 there, 1/3 over there.

Will it be enough for a certain degree of cleaning to fuel injection if I just use the whole bottle in my gas tank.

lol i dont think ur suppose to dump the WHOLE bottle into the gas tank.
if u dont want to do all the procedure then pour in 1/3 into the gas tank and leave the rest. but ofcourse it never hurts to pour it into the engine oil and intake manifold to clean out any carbon/sludge to prevent build up.
