I had Five Guys the other day on a short trip to WA.. It's definitely a good burger, but i wouldn't say it's out of this world. Although you DO get free toppings (grilled mushrooms, mayo, mustard, grilled onions, raw onions, BBQ sauce, etc, etc), and free peanuts! (They just have boxes of peanuts there and it's self-serve)

dropped by yesterday for lunch. had the cheeseburger + A-1 sauce and a bunch of toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, mayo, ketchup) with regular cajun fries. for the cajun fries, they filled the cup and seriously another cupful spilled over in the bag. the fries tasted very fresh.
can't wait to go again

I enjoyed it when I was at the Baltimore, MD one last year. Super unhealthy, but its great once in a while. I think their famous for their fries.
Those cans in the background were about 20 jugs of peanut oil.. sitting on the side!

I'd rather stop by McDonalds and grab a Big Mac meal and a Double Quarter Pounder meal for the same price.

Locally, you could get a similar meal at Vera's Burger for less (which I find quite comparable after eating at both places), or even White Spot which is a full sit down restaurant!

Pricey, but pretty good.
I ordered a Cheese Burger w/o knowing it's actually a double-patty burger. Greasy as hell and they do overstuff your pag w/ fries.
Cheese Burger+Medium Pop+Reg. order of fries=$14.70 sth.

Vera's, on the other hands, to each their own.
I personally like the patties at Five Guys better than Vera's because it tastes fresh, when you take your first bite into the beef patty, you can actually see the juices from the beef running down your fingers dripping onto the tin foil. The quality of the beef is similar to In N' Out from the states I'd say. It's a premium price to pay for quality, but it's not like you are going there everyday.

I went on Friday, definitely better than Fatburger, but what isn't better than Fatburger. I find it similar to Veras, only with peanuts to eat while you wait.
